9:00am - 1:30 pm Score Keeper
Location: Greensfelder Sports Complex
Description: The major role of each volunteer is to be a score keeper. The score keeper will keep track of the game score. We will have one score keeper working two games at the same time. As teams are eliminated, we will need fewer score keepers. Score keepers will not make official judgments; however, they will be expected to have a full understanding of the rules of the game. The officials will make the final judgment calls. Both teams will agree on the scoring after each round of throws and the score keeper will update the scorecard. At the end of each match, the score keeper will be responsible for submitting the final scorecard to the scoreboard/tournament officials located in the center of the playing courts. Score keepers will be required to stand for a long period of time. Volunteers may be asked to perform other duties/roles as needed. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old (or 16 years old with a parent). As a volunteer, you will receive and wear a complimentary volunteer t-shirt. Khaki or black pants, capris or shorts are preferred. You will also have access to the VIP area and receive complimentary food and beverages.
